Grabler Building
Description
The Grabler Building, built in 1896 by the McCabe Brothers, is located in Tribeca's North Historic District at 44 Laight Street. This Renaissance Revival Warehouse was designed by Clinton and Russell. The Grabler name derived from one of the building's earliest tenants, The Grabler Manufacturing Company, a producer of pipe fittings. This stately structure has been host to many interesting enterprises over it's 100 plus year lifetime. The building converted to condominiums in 2001 and offers 18 loft condominiums. These lofts preserve unique details of the building's history like exposed brick, high ceilings and fireplaces.
