Hudson Lofts
Description
Hudson Lofts, originally built in 1890 for the Astor Estate, is located at the corner of Hudson and West 13th Street. Formerly a manufacturing plant, it was converted to full service condominiums lofts in 1999. There are a total of 46 lofts which all feature exposed masonry walls, brick arches, decorative cast iron, wood columns, heavy timber beams and steel shutters. The exterior of the building features a dramatic metal cornice, detailed metal panels, attractive brick pilasters, flouted metal mullions and a tremendous number of window openings to bring natural light into the interior of the building.
